On July 4th, our European consortium gathered with our European Project Adviser Vasiliki Exarchou for a pivotal mid-term meeting; In order to review the progress of our innovative carbon absorbent material project. The meeting focused on evaluating our advancements and discussing the development of our ongoing innovative solutions.
During the session, we presented and discussed the four primary use cases that are at the core of our project:
DarkCO2: This project aims to create a new material for the construction sector using industrial by-products. The material hardens with ACT, providing a sustainable alternative for construction.
Partners: UBI, BIO.
CircaBuild: We are developing high-performing aggregates that significantly reduce the carbon footprint in construction projects.
Partners: C8S, DTU, SUT.
Phytomining: This initiative explores the use of plants to extract valuable metals and minerals from polluted soil, helping to clean the soil while mining materials for commercial use.
Partners: BUL, PHY, SUT, DTU.
Microplastic Capture: Our efforts focus on filtering microplastics from wastewater to prevent ocean pollution, thereby protecting marine ecosystems.
Partners: DTU, BIO, UBI.
The meeting was a significant milestone, highlighting our collective efforts and the strides we've made in developing these cutting-edge solutions.
We are excited about the future and remain committed to advancing our mission of reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.
